Though the prescribed sugars have sweetening properties, they are not advised to be taken by diabetes sufferer. For such people, sugar obtained from Stevia is considered to be the best alternate source. The leaves of Stevia contain sweetening compounds namely Stevioside, Rebaudiside-A, Rebaudiside-C, dulcoside & six other compounds, which have the insulin balancing properties.
This sweetner imparts 250 times more sweetness than table sugar and 300 times more than sucrose. It has become a potential alternative source by replacing artificial sweetners like Saccharine, Aspartame, Asulfam-K, etc.

100 KGS OF STEVIA EXTRACT CAN BE PROCESSED INTO 8 KGS OF FINAL PRODUCT ( WHITE SUGAR)
WHICH IS 8%, THE FINAL PRODUCT IS CALLED "STEVIOCIDES".
1 KG OF STEVIOSIDES IS COSTING RS. 6000--8000 AS PER INTERNATIONAL MARKET
WE CAN TAKE IT AS MINIMUM PRICE OF RS. 5000/ KG
SO 8 KGS X 5000 = RS. 40, 000.
40, 000 DIVIDED BY 100 KGS OF EXTRACT. WE GET RS. 400 FOR OUR EXTRACT.
Cost per acre
( expenses such as land, irrigation, plants, plantation cost, natural manure, labour cost, bore well cost, processing machine cost & Misce cost)
Rs.3.71 lac per acre (one time cost)
Rs.1 lac per acre/year (recurring cost per year)
Yield from Each Acre: 2500 kg / year / acre
International Cost per each kg: $10/ kg equivalent to Rs.400 per kg. (minimum)
