Apple unleashed the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as its first dust and water resistant iPhones, thanks to the IP67 certification. This means they are 100 percent resistant to dust and should survive being submerged under a metre of water for up to 30 minutes. The idea isn’t to take them swimming, but they can survive accidental drops in pools, sinks, and the shower, and the odd downpour. However, Apple mentions that splash, Also, Apple won’t cover liquid damage on the new iPhones under the warranty, so don’t count on the brand to replace them at no charge.
