Microfinance branch managers are very good on collection focus and also manage to learn our business reasonably fast, while the BMs with NBFC background have less of collection focus, though they may have PL/ mortgage experience. A good collection focus helps in making sure that it will also leave the BMs with enough time for business. On the other hand, the credit managers will need to be having the required credit experience and hence must be from NBFC background.
All Branch Managers:
To be recruited from MFIs only. No NBFC profile to be recruited as BM. Companies amongst the MFIs that we can recruit from are – Equitas, Ujjivan, Grameen Koota, Suryodaya etc. The negative list from which any recruitment is to be avoided are – Spandana, Share, SKS. If there are profiles from these three companies that have come through references and we want to consider them, they need to be escalated to BH.
